Learning Experience Design
We aim to create novel learning pathways and experiences for trainees and trainers. We work with surgeon-guided editorial teams from our partner institutions to develop VR-specific EPAs for a competency-based curriculum. We use a novel backward planning approach and competency & problem-based design to ensure making the procedural learning paths most relevant in translating knowledge, so learners can fill their competency gaps more efficiently and effectively.

Non Nocere GmbH, founded in Berlin, Germany, in 2020, is on a mission to revolutionize surgeon training.
With a tool that is accessible and affordable, we aim to overcome the limitations of time and budget.
Our name, inspired by the Latin phrase “Primum non nocere,” meaning “first, do no harm,”
reflects our commitment to the principle of non-maleficence, a fundamental bioethical principle taught to
medical students worldwide. Our team boasts a diverse range of expertise, including clinical, engineering,
design, and commercial experience, all united toward one goal of transforming surgeon training.

UMUT ELESTEKİN
Umut, with a master’s degree from Bilgi University, has held key positions in the health sector. As a marketing manager, sales and marketing director, and general manager, he gained valuable industry experience. Umut’s expertise extends to organizing international surgeon courses, participating in 400+ surgeries, and consulting on global clinical trials. He has also contributed to hospital center-of-excellence projects. Currently, as Chairman and CEO of Non Nocere, Umut continues to work to drive innovation in the healthcare industry.

Tolga, a Hacettepe University graduate, has extensive experience in publishing, trade fairs, healthcare management, and corporate communications. He designed communication campaigns, produced documentaries, guidebooks, and magazines, and managed sustainability and public affairs projects in which he collaborated with international organizations like UNDP and IFRC. Tolga also has experience working in hospital management. He held key positions in sectoral associations and multinational companies. He is the Vice Chairman and COO of Non Nocere.

Sinan, a master in computer animation and visual effects, has extensive experience in high-end computer graphics. As a Visual Effects Supervisor for renowned post-production companies, he has made significant contributions to the industry. His creative vision and technical expertise make Sinan a valuable asset in pushing the boundaries of computer graphics and visual effects. Sinan serves as a Partner and Chief Technology Officer at Non Nocere, driving technological advancements.

Doğan is an experienced IT professional with over 20 years of expertise in database management, IT infrastructure, and integration. He also specializes in areas such as cloud, ERP, CRM, LMS, LRS, data analysis, reporting, and artificial intelligence/machine learning. Doğan has held various positions in different companies, including database manager and IT manager. He is currently a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Development Officer at Non Nocere, where he joined the team in December 2021.

Currently, Can holds the role of European Regional General Manager at Non Nocere, where he also serves as a partner, leveraging his experience to contribute to the company’s success.

Özüm, a graduate of Gazi University Faculty of Fine Arts in 2014, pursued further academic achievements by completing her doctorate at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University in 2005. With a diverse range of software, she demonstrates proficiency in various artistic mediums and digital tools. Özüm has gained valuable experience in academia through her roles as a research assistant at Ankara Hacı Bayram Veli University, Gazi University, and Süleyman Demirel University. Her academic background and expertise contribute to her ability to combine traditional artistry with modern digital techniques.

Bahadır, a graduate of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University’s Computer Engineering Department, began his career with Non Nocere and quickly established himself as a valuable member of the team. Proficient in programming languages such as C++, C, C#, Java, Python, Basic Pro, HTML, and JavaScript, he also has experience working with Unreal Engine 4, Unity Engine, Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Spark AR programs. Bahadır’s diverse skill set enables him to contribute effectively to the development and implementation of various projects at Non Nocere.

Kerem, a talented 3D design expert, was born in Safranbolu in 1987. With more than 8 years of industry experience, he has collaborated with prominent organizations including NOYA Enterprise, ABT Istanbul, and Portakal Animation Studio. Kerem possesses expertise in utilizing software such as ZBrush, Autodesk Maya, Substance Painter, Adobe Photoshop, Premiere, and After Effects. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from Dumlupınar University, further enriching his artistic capabilities and contributing to his success in the field.

Zeynep studied Geomatic Engineering at Yıldız Technical University, and during her education, she gained experience in various fields such as marketing, human resources, and project management. Zeynep is proficient in using programs like Python, Pix4D, and Net CAD. Currently, she works as a project manager at Non Nocere.
